We always hear about the "man cave", so if you were given a room in your home to call your very own (in addition to your bedroom) what would it look like and how would you utilize it? My space would be dedicated to all things girly and techy. I would have my laptop and iphone on a gorgeous desk next to my glass of wine and a fresh new journal just waiting to be used.

What would your Mom Cave look like? (Pictures welcome, make me jealous!)

I wish I had a mom cave, but alas I just have my "mom chair." It's the most comfortable chair in the world for laptop use and I love it.

My perfect mom cave would look a lot like yours - a beautiful desk with a mega comfy chair that can display my laptop (if we're dreaming, let's make that a Macbook Pro, shall we?) and my iPhone. Then on the walls would be pictures of my girls and all of the things that inspire me. It would be one giant vision/inspiration board!

My Mom Cave is my studio... it's got all my art goodies, my desktop, video and photo production stuff, may sewing table and assorted goodies.

I have like a "Mom desk area cave" and 1/2 of my bedroom studio...its perfect for me..I would like more organization space...someday I will...!!

I'm actually in the process of building my "mom crevice" hahaha. It's a corner of our apartment that I've been using as my itinerant office space; I've claimed it as my own now, hence, the new workspace project. Will post pics soon!

H Ha ..I love that "Mom Crevice"..perfect..! and Nice to meet you..!

Nice to "meet" you, Robin! You'll see the "crevice" soon enough, haha!

cant wait..!I love new inspirations..!

Here's the sad thing... I have a "mom cave" but it's in the laundry room. Yes, my desk, computer, and all my crafting stuff is in the basement in the laundry room. While this is sometimes convenient it's not my ideal space!

Ideally, I would have a nice desk that is near a big window that I could look out and watch the kids play or just enjoy the view. I would have a huge closet with built in organization for all of my sewing and scrapbooking stuff too, this alone would be so helpful.

In the corner would be a comfy chair so I could sit and read and of course there would have to be bookshelves for all of my books.

I could go on and on about all of the things that I would do with such a wonderful place!

Heather, I love your image of your desk with a perpetually full glass of wine (around the clock!) and an ever fresh new journal.  Don't forget your vase of fragrant flowers that never wilt! (As long as we're dreaming.)

Jackie, my mom-cave is in the laundry room too, but it is upstairs, next to my bedroom, with a big window where I can monitor all the kids in the neighborhood. It is painted bright melon and lined with chaotic pin and magnet boards. When we moved into the house, I asked the builder to lower the "laundry folding counter" from standing to sitting height. I knew it was my best shot at a desk of my own.  Sometimes I have to juggle my laundry cycles with my phone calls, but otherwise, I can't complain.

I guess mine would be the home office I share with my husband.  His half is always messy but my half is decorated with photos, kids artwork and then I have everything organized on either bookshelves or in a cabinet - all my crafting/scrapbooking supplies. I keep an old cozy chair in there for my pooch Bailey, she often is the one who keeps me company in there when I'm working or crafting, usually late into the night.

My dream would be to take over the whole room, paint it a nice light, girly color (like a pale green, pink or yellow) and then get an entire storage/crafting system that all matched...and had enough room and a big crafting table to invite my girlfriends over so we could hide out in our "girl cave" together - kinda like guys and the "big game" get togethers they have.  Instead of a mini-fridge for beer, I'd have a small wine refrig to always have some on hand!

YES to vision boards!!! Would love to have a woman cave with one of those!!!

I use to have a woman cave in the basement too- til it became the kids playroom. Even though its finished there's not much sunlight- and in summer with the AC it is FRIGID! The kids don't even like to play down there in the summer.

Windows and sunlight are definitely on my must-have list for a woman cave for sure!!
