Corine and I are hard at work putting together some wonderful resources and ideas but we want to ensure we are targeting the kind of issues and and ideas that are most relevant to you.
We have a wide range of talented women represented here - from those with a business idea they hope to one day pursue up to those that have been in business for many years - there really is something here for everyone.
Having said that, what are you hoping to learn as you navigate through Launching Mom? Aside from making connections with other Launching Moms (just strictly from a content standpoint) what are the kind of topics YOU are looking to find in this space?

Permalink Reply by Hilary Morris on March 2, 2012 at 9:22pm I would love to see what those of us who are working in social media find are the best tools for our clients. We are all each other's colleagues and we can learn so much from each other. I like to read about the experiences with certain social platforms and projects as well as share my own insight as well!
I agree, there is a wealth of informative, talented women here - it's all about supporting one another!
Every time I log on to Twitter or various other social media sites, I come across dozens of conferences, events, seminars. If were to attended each of them, I would never be home and I would need another career just to afford them. I would love to see a feature that would perhaps help/guide those like me (who have yet to attend some of these events) with a list of who would benefit from attending and which event gives the most bang for your buck!
There are some great bloggers who have written detailed accounts of the where, when and why of many conferences - sharing some of those links would be helpful, thanks for the recommendation :)
Permalink Reply by Jessica McMican on March 5, 2012 at 7:50am I think one of the greatest areas of need are how to use social media to promote your business. For example, businesses need a Facebook fan/business page. And if they have a page, it needs to look GOOD and it needs to be functional. Businesses need to know how much to use it, what content to put on their page and what to keep off it.
I found a few sites yesterday that offer free Facebook timeline templates to spruce up your page for the new format (which you have to switch to on Mar 30th), but it wasn't after some major digging. (I may start a new thread with information on where to get those).
So tips like that, or how to improve SEO, why you need a Twitter account, etc would be useful. Moms in this group are most likely here because we were already on social media - and Launching Mom did an awesome job reaching us. Now, we need to know how to use it to promote our OWN business :)
Excellent points and we would LOVE for you to start that new thread Jessica! I agree, the women here at Launching Mom are already active in social media - now, it's all about taking it to the next level.
