Permalink Reply by Meryl Neiman on February 1, 2012 at 1:13pm I'll jump in. My partner (another mom) and I recently launched Playdate Planet, an online playdate scheduling website. We want to make sure that children still have time for free play and to hang out with friends so the site makes it super easy for busy parents to post and accept playdates online. It's a social networking type site so you only connect with people you know and there's lots of cool functionality that makes the playdate process easy and fun.

Permalink Reply by Meryl Neiman on February 2, 2012 at 8:46pm No app yet. That's for phase 2 when we have some more capital! The site is optimized, however, to work on all devices. If you do try it out, I'd love to hear what you think.
Permalink Reply by NotJustAnotherJennifer on February 2, 2012 at 12:03am My business, Jaborandi Grove, is fairly new. It's an Etsy shop where I sell decorative wall letters, and I just started offering invitations. I do graphic design, so trying to figure out a way to incorporate the right mix of elements.
That's great! Do you plan to offer graphic design services through the shop?

Permalink Reply by Debbie Ventriello on February 2, 2012 at 6:24pm I have a business called Next Step Productions and offer a service called our Hot Shots Instant Photo Favors. We have found a way to combine both the photo memories of your party combined with keepsake photos for your guests into one service. We come to parties and events and take digital candid photos of you and your guests. We print and frame the photos while we are there and have them ready to go home with the guests before the end of the celebration.
Permalink Reply by Debbie Kleinman on February 3, 2012 at 10:12am My business is a picture driven birthday party directory www.BirthdayPartyWebsites.com! I started five years ago with my Tampa site out of frustration due to the amount of time I needed to spend Googling birthday party ideas, searching for businesses and then calling for birthday party packages and pricing.
Soon after Tampa, a business in Miami requested a directory in that area. Next was a NJ request resulting in www.NewJerseyBirthdayParty.com and then www.NorthJerseyBirthdayParty.com, www.CentralJerseyBirthdayParty.com, www.SouthJerseyBirthdayParty.com and www.JerseyShoreBirthdayParty.com!
Five years later we have over 120 local sites!
Our sites offer over 100 different ideas for parties and our goal is to populate each site with as many local business as we can to be a qiuck and easy resource for moms planning birthday parties!
If you would visit your local site and LIKE us on National Facebook page or NJ Facebook page - we would so appreciate it and would do the same for your business!

Permalink Reply by Cristie Ritz King on February 8, 2012 at 6:20pm After blogging for three years at Right Hand Mom and learning from my readers that nothing is more powerful (and rewarding) than supporting women through change, I went to school to become a Certified Holistic Health Counselor.
Now, at Real Life Wellness, I work with private clients, businesses and small groups to help busy people make realistic, consistent changes to lead them toward a healthier, happier life. I am not about drastic diets and deprivation, but I am about You being your best You, so I work with clients to discover who that is and support them on that journey.
Some of the small groups include new moms, parents of "new eaters" and women in transition, which includes people change careers, lifestyle or just looking for something different in their lives. In the fall I plan to launch Wellness Warrior retreats where women in any stage of transition can come to learn how to gracefully live through change while also eating, relaxing and focusing on self-care.
I love to cook and eat, and I have a love-hate relationship with exercise, so I'm quickly becoming known as the food lovers health coach! The name for the company reflects my mission which is to support people with decisions and changes that fit their unique Real Lives.
I swear when I'm counseling people, I don't talk nearly this much!
